The goal of Allentown Bible Church is to follow Christ together through relational living and bringing the truth of God’s Word into life situations.
We believe that all Christians should be involved in these activities:
Worship of God (Acts 2:47; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Revelation 4)
- Our focus is to be God
- Our worship is to be pleasing to God
- We need to remember that it is more about God than us
Instruction from God’s Word (Acts 2:42; Matthew 28:20; 2 Timothy 3:12-17)
- God’s Truth needs to enter everyone’s life situation
- We all need to be receiving and giving God’s Word
Relational Community (Romans 12:9-16; Acts 2:42,46; Colossians 3:12-17)
- We strive to cultivate meaningful relationships with those in our surrounding physical community as we show them the love of Christ
- We strive to cultivate meaningful relationships with those in our church community as we live life together
- We strive to be involved in discipling our world for Christ
Evangelism of the Lost (Matthew 28:19)
- God’s Truth needs to be brought into the lives of those who are lost
- Intentional Evangelism
- Spontaneous Evangelism
Selfless Service to God & Others (John 13; Mark 10:45; Genesis 1:1)
- God is our Creator, and as such deserves our service to Him
- God expects us to be involved in selfless, sacrificial service towards others, led by the example of Christ
